Guided Fort Tours

Guided Tour

Guided tours begin with an overview of the history of the fort and its involvement in the French and Indian War.  In the fort area students may explore artillery, the design and architecture of the fort, the importance of its location, and key historical figures involved in the history of the fort.

Following the guided tour of the fort, groups are free to explore the three galleries of our museum independently.  Museum staff will be available to answer questions during this self-exploration.

Cost:  $8.00 per student for groups of 10 or more.

1 complimentary adult ticket with every 10 student tickets purchased.  Additional adult tickets are $8.00 each.

Availability: Monday-Friday by reservation only. Weekend group tours are also available by special request.

Time: Tours take approximately two hours.  This includes the guided tour of the fort area, the museum tour, and museum store shopping.

All tours can be planned to target a specific curricular area of focus if desired. Please let us know of your interest when reserving your visit.  Otherwise, guided tours provide a general overview of the history of Fort Ligonier.
