Fort Ligonier is a reconstructed/restored French and Indian War fort, in use, 1758-1766, with a separate modern museum facility. The Education Department has designed special programs for groups of ten or more to enhance the existing school curriculum in Pennsylvania history for the time period of the French and Indian War. Programs can be adapted to meet the needs of individual grades and classes.
Fort Ligonier is open every day for school tours from April 15 through November 15. Please consult the following resources to prepare for your trip to Fort Ligonier. Advance reservations are required.
Reserve your group experience by calling: 724-238-9701 or emailing the Education Department at: email@example.com. A group is defined as 10 paying visitors who have arranged their visit through the Education Department. With every 10 paying student visitors, 1 complimentary adult ticket will be issued.
Accessibility: We are a handicapped accessible site. To arrange for any special needs that your group may have, or to discuss any concerns with the terrain of our site, please contact the Education Department prior to your visit.
Please dress for the weather. Part of the visit is inside the museum, but tours of the fort area are conducted outside so be prepared for rain and inclement temperatures.
